The Matagorda County Convention & Visitors Bureau would like to welcome the Lone Star Art Guild 2012 Convention to Bay City this weekend. The Lone Star Art Guild has been around for over 50 years and is made up of art leagues within a 200 mile radius of Houston. Each year in May, one or more of the leagues will host a convention. The Art League of Bay City and the Matagorda County CVB have successfully recruited the convention to Bay City this year. The Convention consists of artwork that has won an award at any of the Lone Star Art Guild member leagues throughout the year. We will have 626 pieces of art brought in and on display. Public viewing will be Saturday from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday from Noon – 4 p.m. and we encourage everyone available to attend. Saturday enjoy the Cajun Night concert with gumbo, only $20 a person.
